Who we are

Push SMS is operated by Host The Website. This policy covers the data handled by the service at sms.hostthewebsite.com and by the Push SMS for WooCommerce plugin.

What we receive from your store

When you connect the plugin: your site URL, your email address, your store name, your timezone, and your WordPress, WooCommerce and plugin versions.

Each time a message is sent: the recipient's mobile number and the message text, plus the order ID and the status that triggered it. The message text contains whatever your templates put in it, which typically includes the customer's name, order number and order total.

Why we hold it

Who else sees it

GenNet — our SMS provider. Recipient numbers and message text are passed to them so the messages can be delivered. SSLCommerz — our payment gateway, which handles top-ups. We never see or store your card details.

We do not sell data, and we do not use your customers' numbers for anything other than delivering the messages you ask us to send.

How long we keep it

Message records, including recipient numbers and text, are kept for 12 months, then deleted. Billing records are kept for 6 years, as tax rules require — these hold amounts and dates, not message contents. Account details are kept while your store is registered.

Your customers

The phone numbers belong to your customers, and you are the one with the relationship to them. You are responsible for having their consent to send them messages. If one of your customers asks you to delete their data, contact us and we will remove their records from ours.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit. Your site token is stored only as a hash, so a copy of our database does not yield working credentials. Payment credentials never reach us.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about your store, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it when you stop using the service. Email support@hostthewebsite.com.
